The ‘Primary Vice’ is an essential bit of humanity lost to the fall of grace of man from the pinnacle of their evolved might. Although many believe it to be a moral snare placed in man to overcome and earn his place in afterlife. This flaw is not counted with in the allotted 12 points Flaw Points but will be balanced by currently unnamed and unknown merits customized to each player.*
This flaw may be normally as repressed as you want it to be, may bubble to the surface temporarily – representing your personal reaction to violent physical, emotional, or psychological turbulence in the game world. As adventurers, your characters may be somewhat prepared and hardened to seeing the horrors of war, man’s inhumanity to man, or other less than natural experiences – so any trauma will represent extremely personal afflictions or an alien supernatural horror. Certain types of magic use or magic items may directly affect this mechanic.
Every character is required to pick one primary vice which will be represented by one sub-vice.
